After purchasing the product I was anxious to receive it and finally have a place to keep all my dice, cards, and other DM stuff in one place. Before getting the beautiful Daedalus D&D box I was using a plastic organizer I purchased from a craft store and a cardboard card box. Seeing the Daedalus box design online, I was excited for a single storage solution which could help shorten setup time.
When I received the box I was happy to note the beautiful stain of the wood, giving it a distinct look that makes it look extremely classy. Opening the case exposed the trays to hold the dice, card storage trays with dividers, and two removable trays for other things like dice bags etc. I dumped out my plastic container and began to sift through the dice to load up the wooden rows. The dice are perfectly exposed when on their trays and perfect for quickly grabbing the dice you need for quick game setup. I was pretty sure the trays wouldn’t hold the dice in place when stacked but they stayed put even tilting the box around. My only complaint is that the trays need to be stacked correctly otherwise they don’t sit snug and the box won’t close. This issue only really takes a few seconds to sort out, and it might have just been difficult because it was the first time putting the trays back in place.
The card storage is great for storing the cards and allowing space for pre-constructed decks. Unlike other wood inserts I’ve used in the past to hold cards, these were snug and didn’t allow for unwanted movement.

TL;DR – If you want an elegant storage solution there is truly no alternative to this.
